Director of Music (part time)

An exciting opportunity to lead music at St Alfege Church, Greenwich

Salary £11,500

We are seeking an outstanding Director of Music to lead and develop our musical worship.

Our auditioned choir of 30 adult singers sings to a high standard with a repertoire ranging from the 16th-21st
centuries.

We are looking for:
● An inspiring choral conductor and organist with a deep understanding of the Anglican choral tradition
● A skilled accompanist and recitalist with a passion for musical excellence in worship
● A motivational leader who can recruit, train, and nurture musicians
● A team player who will enrich the musical and community life of the church.

The role (approximately 8 hours per week) includes directing the choir, playing for services, and curating the
church’s historic organ.

We anticipate the successful candidate taking up the role on 1 September 2025.
