This is a full, sung communion service attended by up to 200 people in the congregation every week.  The service, from Common Worship, includes a sermon and cathedral-standard singing with St Alfege Church Choir.  Many volunteers are involved in welcoming, reading and serving.  This service lasts about an hour and ten minutes and uses traditional language on most Sundays.

This service is broadcast live on our YouTube Channel, @StAlfegeChurch. You do not have to sign up or log in, and we do not broadcast the distribution of communion.

Children's Church gathers for worship in the Church Hall during term time.

Refreshments are offered in the hall after the service, and everyone is welcome.

Sunday 4pm, Choral Evensong  (monthly)
Join us for Choral Evensong which is sung on the last Sunday of every month at 4pm (excluding August) and lasts for about an hour. Enjoy the beauty of language and music in cathedral-style evensong according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer with St Alfege Choir led by Director of Music, Joshua Ryan. Please note that there is no Choral Evensong in August. However there is a special Bell Ringers' Evensong on Sunday 30 August at 4pm.

Sunday 3pm, Okutendereza mu Luganda (monthly)
A service in Lugandan is held every second Sunday of the month at 3pm in the church. This is an Anglican service organised and led by Okutendereza mu Luganda, a fellowship of Lugandan speakers from Uganda and Rwanda. Everyone is welcome.
