Welcome to St Alfege Church and we hope you enjoy your visit whether you come to worship and/or to explore this wonderful Nicholas Hawksmoor church and learn about our rich heritage.

Ramp access
As part of our Heart of Greenwich Place and People we are delighted to now have a fully accessible ramp located to the right of our new entrance on the north side of the church.

There is a level landing at the top of the ramp/slope.

There is a/are handrail(s) at the ramp.

The handrail(s) is/are on both sides.

The width of the ramp/slope is 118cm (3ft 10in).

Induction Loop
An induction loop for people who are hard of hearing is in operation at services and concerts.

The system is a fixed loop.

Staff are trained to use the system.

The hearing assistance system was tested by an AccessAble surveyor on 14/10/2021
Braille
A number of items are available in braille at the welcoming desk which is on your left hand side as you enter the church through the main door. This includes our hymn book (Hymns Ancient and Modern New Standard) and also copies of the weekly Eucharist; Baptism; and Midnight Mass. There are also large print versions of the hymn book and Eucharist at the welcome desk. Our welcomers would be delighted to provide you with braille copies of services and/or help you navigate the building. Please let us know if we can assist you.
Communion
If for any reason you would prefer to receive communion where you are sitting, please let a welcomer know.
Parking
There is no public parking at St Alfege Church but it is possible for those requiring disability access to arrange a day permit via the office.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is approximately 3m (3yd 10in) from the main entrance which is located on the north side of the churchyard.

Assistance dogs are welcome in the church at all times and other areas. Water can be made available for them on request.
