For young people and adults wishing to be baptized and confirmed, we regularly run a course. If you are thinking about adult baptism or confirmation please contact the church office.
Confirmation Service on Sunday 15 May 2022 at 6.30pm
Bishop Karowei, Area Bishop of Woolwich will be with us on Sunday 15 May for a special Confirmation service, at which we will also welcome visitors from some other churches in Charlton Deanery (our local Anglican grouping of parishes). For Anglicans, Confirmation is the fulfilment of promises made for us or by us at our baptism, and the way in which we publicly declare our faith and our desire to follow Christ as a ‘grown up’ Christian. At the service, the Bishop lays hands on each candidate, anoints them and prays for the Holy Spirit to equip and empower them for the journey of faith ahead. The congregation offer their support and prayers and we celebrate. It's also possible for those already confirmed in the Anglican Church or in another tradition to publicly re-affirm their faith. If you are interested in being confirmed, please get in contact with Revd Simon. There will be three preparation sessions in the weeks prior to the service, but we'd also encourage you to join the Lent course, starting on 7 or 9 March.

Baptisms are held throughout the year, either within the main Sunday service or on a set Sunday afternoon.
There are no charges for baptism.
